Our May Production in 2012 will be
"The Elephant Man"
by Bernard Pomerance
Directed by Iain Fraser
|
This is a powerful and poignant story based on the life of John Merrick.
Deformed from an early age by a crippling disease, Merrick is condemned to a life as a "freak" until a doctor tries to give him the best life that he can offer.
This is an insightful look at the man within and the dilemma of those trying to help him.

Our November Production for 2012 is to be
"CARPE JUGULUM"
by Terry Pratchett
Adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs
Directed by Robyn Pope
|
Another of Terry Pratchett's reknowned "Discworld" stories, the three Lancre witches from Wyrd Sisters are off vampire-hunting.
Almost.
One of the three has relinquished her position in the coven to take on a far less significant career as Queen of Lancre and has been replaced by another young lady who is beside herself with excitement and is constantly in conflict with the self beside her who has a quite different personality.
... and the vampires are not so much being hunted as turning up at the King's invitation to the naming of his first-born.
Come and see what transpires (vampires?).
